Crest (Lehlako)

Crest (Lehlako)

Crest was also originally designed by the Shrubsole brother for Wormald & Walker in the 1940's. A prime example of how the meanings and significance of the Basotho Heritage Blankets have evolved over time, this design depicts the Prince of Wales Feathers but to the Basotho, it has come to represent the Lehlako, or "wheat sheaf", symbolizing the staff of life.
